I watched it without knowing anything more than the 2 sentences synopsis on netflix preview bar, and I'm glad that I did. The series is very fast paced and light, since first episode it is clear where the plot is going. It showed only the necessary scenes so that audiences understand the background story and that is it. There is no big story reveal or puzzles to be solved, but instead a beautiful character development perfectly presented by Shun Oguri. His top notch acting in playing a detective solving murder cases brought me in a emotion roller coaster. I did not expect so much feels in such a simple themed series. There wasn't even a grand story! It is amazing.
The only downside of this series is the oversimplicity in the supporting characters, especially the suspects. It reminds me of anime tbh, how all the killers just give free murder confession at the slightest confrontation. It doesn't seem real to me. I wish they had put more effort in creating the supporting characters too because the MC are just so good. Overall I highly recommended this series and hope that they will make more seasons.
