Goofs

It is impossible for a C-47 to fly from the Swiss Alps to Oregon non-stop. the distance is over 4600 miles. The pilot said they had "four extra tanks" but there were no external tanks visible under the wings and the interior of the fuselage had seats and storage boxes only. See more »

Gregor Danilov: Sir, I would like...
Viktor Albert Wilhelm George Beckendorf: Shut up. Let me give it a shot. You feel awful and take full responsibility for failing to stop Adalind and her child from slipping from your grasp and getting away, despite the fact that we had intercepted communications from Resistance agents, which gave you sufficient time to disrupt their plans. Not only did you lose the royal child and her mother, but herr Meisner has managed to disappear, and we are left with another six dead Verrat. Did I leave anything out?

"Imagine MY surprise ... Imagine THEIR surprise" (dialog)
28 April 2014 | by (North America) – See all my reviews

Happy happy, joy joy. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. To be honest I never really liked that cliché, but I think it applies to this wonderful episode. First of all, it has my favorite GRIMM character in it, Nick's mom, wonderfully played by the incomparable Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. (BTW, the actress playing "young Nick's mom" in the single flashback looks nothing like MEM did back in the day, but I suppose you have to be of a certain age to realize that...) It's got action. It's got romance. It's got heroes and villains. And boy has it got great dialog -- one of the best TV lines in recent memory ... "Imagine my surprise .. Imagine THEIR surprise" (You have to be a fan of the series to get it). And therein lies the wonder. In a TV era where the other shows have gone barking mad just to retain viewer attention (ARROW is starting to resemble an inkblot test, and it is becoming ever more difficult to distinguish the flashbacks from the actual series -- and S.H.I.E.L.D has surprisingly turned the end of the first year's series into a sort of FEAR FACTOR, with each successive episode trying to top the prior one in terms of sheer unmitigated CRAZY) it is so nice and refreshing to find a series that gets its viewer connection factor ("VCF") by ..... wait for it ... actually connecting with the viewer. By characterizations, situations, and razor sharp dialog. Very old school. And very appreciated. Whoda thunk it?
