Storyline

After spending the night with Shelley Andy is 'persuaded' by Sam to give her moral support at a family lunch hosted by Joan, mother of Sam's ex-husband Ben. Also attending is Ben's brother Rex, a trendy doctor back from voluntary work in Africa and Andy is immediately jealous, sabotaging his cookery and causing an accident in a football game. Sam tries to keep her past drug and drink addiction from Joan since Ben is wrangling for Errol's custody now that he has a new girlfriend. When it is revealed that Andy had sex with Joan twelve years ago and Andy's friend Bruce announces that his wife is cheating on him it is all too much for Errol, who has a panic attack. Andy is blamed but saves the day, which unusually ends in reconciliation for all concerned. Written by don @ minifie-1

Well taking part in that band competition had one benefit for Andy. He slept with Shelley, the girl he used to be at school with.

His sister Sam drags Andy to her ex-husband Ben's family lunch hosted by Joan, her former mother in law. Bruce and his daughter who is at school with Errol also pop along.

Joan knows about Sam being in rehabilitation but still tried to ply her with alcohol which Sam reluctantly takes. It is all about custody and she wants to make sure her son gets it.

Andy vies Rex, Sam's former brother in law to be the perfect uncle to Errol. Rex is a doctor who has just returned from voluntary work in Africa and seems to be perfect at everything.

At dinner there are lots of revelations, Ben was also into drugs and far from perfect, Joan also took drugs with Andy once although thinks he might had slept with her. Bruce thinks his wife is cheating on him and their daughter has an affection for Errol.

This episode has some knockabout comedy but is the one that develops the various characters from Andy to his sister, her ex husband. At this point they feel more real, troubled and maybe even going somewhere. In that regard, you have to appreciate the writing.
