Storyline

Just now Francis and Mary have become full-fledged lovers and desire a marriage, even against the king, Henry declares it's time to wed them to unite France with Scotland and fight weakened rival England, whose Tudor queen is reported ailing. After insecure royal mistress Kenna tells Catherine she found out about Diana's failed plan to have Rome legitimize Bash, the Medici queen orders her old rival to leave court and first rid her of another enemy by poison. Nostradamus having predicted that the favorable dynastic alliance will see Francis killed untimely, both queens ponder how to save his beloved life, at any cost, Nostradamus punishes hidden wretch Clarissa for her part. Quotes

Nostradamus: All images of Francis' death are tied to your union. You will be blamed for the death of the Queen's firstborn. You will blame yourself, most of all. I see Francis, barely older than he is now, cold to your touch. You are wed but childless. Alone at this court without a friend to comfort you.
