Warning: Spoilers
Outstanding storyline. Brilliant. The events after the collapse of the cave that buried Obito were impressive. And in the state he was left, makes his story saddest. The plotline follows the moments after Madara's appearance. Obito is not surprised that he got out of the Edo Tensei. But Madara goes to the plan, and asks what is stopping him. Naruto and the others are shocked to see the real Madara there. He starts shouting about the Kages, what happened to them, and Madara simply states "Not so well". B thinks about his brother, and is revealed that the five were left seriously injured, unconcious, covered in blood. Tsunade is the only one awake, barely, and summons Katsuyu. She orders her to bring the Kages next to her, and heal her later. She still can save them. Back at the front, Obito gives back the gunbai to Madara, which is his special weapon. Then, Naruto uses Kurama's tails and takes out all the black metal bars tied at the Hachibi. Madara sees the Gedo Mazo statue, and realizes what Obito has done, still without the Hachibi and the Kyuubi. He says that he rushed, and asks what happened to Nagato. Obito tells that he betrayed them, and used the resurrection jutsu in Konoha. Madara is upset, everyone does what whatever they want. Still, he thinks his colleague surely has a plan. Kakashi is stunned to learn they are together with the plan. Naruto gets enraged to hear that they wanted to use Nagato, and tries to surprise Madara, but his small Bijuu dama is repelled with the gunbai. Then, Madara says he will take care of the Chachi and the Kyuubi, and asks Obito to deal with the other two. Kakashi asks his old fellow, what happened to him. This part was great to reveal a part of Madara's plan, and the tragic fate of the Kages. At this point, is hard to think that all of them will survive. Tsunade without doubt, but the others... Anyway, too bad it wasn't showed how Madara left them in such state. The conversation between the Uchihas was interesting. Looks like Madara doesn't know that Obito didn't intend to revive him after Nagato died.

The best of the episode comes next. The aftermath of the collapse is showed, after the incident in the cave. Obito wakes up on a bed, all bandaged, without his right arm, his left eye, severely damaged. He asks where he is, so an old Madara answers, between a world and the other, young Uchiha. Obito recognizes the Sharingan, and realizes he is in front of another Uchiha. But then, he gets scared to see a scythe, and, thinking he is the shinigami, starts babbling about how he always helped old people, he was a good boy. He feels pain, so Madara tells that he is alive. But also reveals that is a miracle, was like he slipped through the rocks, and fell on a passage underground. That's where he found him. Madara adds that his right half side was crushed, so he had to treat him. Obito then thanks the old man for saving him. But Madara says it's too soon, as he wil have to pay him the debt. Obito agrees to do what he asks, but also says he has to return to Konoha, now that he is alive, with his Sharingan, he can protect his friends in the war. The old Uchiha tells him that with his body he cannot be a ninja again. Obito protests, but Madara tells him to face reality. The world is full of things we don't like how they are. The more you live, you realize the reality is made of pain, suffering and void. He tells that in this world, there is light and darkness, winners and losers, to achieve peace war exists, hatred borns from loving. It's inevitable. Obito soon gets tired of the lecture, but Madara continues, he was injured and others were saved. Obito remembers his two friends, and protests, he wants to leave. So Madara coldly tells that if he wants to leave, go ahead, but if he can move, of course. Obito then starts thinking about the Sharingan, and, aware that he never saw him before, he asks who he is. Madara says he is the ghost of the Uchihas, and tells his name. Obito can't believe it, as he should be dead, but Madara jokes if would be more likely to be the shinigami. He escaped death, and survives thanks to the chakra of the Gedo Mazo statue connected to him. Obito then gets out of the bed, intending to get away, but Madara tells they can't leave, not with their current bodies. The old man warns him that if he moves too much, the artificial body of Hashirama put around him, will break, and he will die. Madara still wants him to do many things with his life. From the ground, Obito asks what he wants, so Madara says, to break the cycle of the world, to create a world with only winners, peace, and love. Obito doesn't care, he just wants to return with his friends. But Madara insists, things don't work as he wishes. One day he'll realize. He then tells him to die if he wants, but will take his sharingan. He reveals that he left his eyes to someone else, and the actual one he got it later. But his left socket is still empty. With both eyes, one can be at his full potential. So Obito thinks that with Kakashi would make a perfect team, able to protect Rin. He still drags himself through the ground, wanting to leave. And the episode ends. Once again, Perfect. Incredibly touching, excellent, heartbreaking. To see Obito disabled, without an arm, without an eye, half body crushed, wounded in all his body, trying to get back home, with his friends, his village. With an emotive score playing behind. Obito was alive because of a miracle. All because his space time ninjutsu activated in the moment of his "death", so he fell to the undeground passage from Madara's hideout. And here is the explanation to why he fell in the darkness. He was almost dead, basically paralyzed, being just a boy, saved and in the company of an old man with twisted ideas about the world. There was no way he wouldn't lose his mind. His story is tragic. And about Madara, is revealed what happened. He managed to survive the last battle with Hashirama. And while getting old, surely being injured, decided to implant his eyes after awakening the Rinnegan, to a young kid named Nagato. But before, he got an Uchiha eye to be able to see. He planned all during his last years of life, and remained hidden underground, right on the border of Konoha. He investigated the Gedo Mazo statue, and obtained it in order to live long enough, and fulfill his plan. And after all, Madara's ideas applied perfectly to Obito. After such incident, not knowing his parents, being alive when he was supposed to be death. All turned out terribly for him. The harsh cruel reality turned him into a villain.
