Trivia

Known for her role as Marion Ravenwood in the Indiana Jones movies, Karen Allen guest stars in this episode. If you know your movie trivia, Tom Selleck was lined up for the roll of Indy and actually screen tested. He turned it down due to a conflict with Magnum, P.I. If you notice as the guys are prepping for their camping trip, Frank Reagan is sporting a familiar fedora. See more »

Goofs

When Frank is telling Betty Lowe that he will continue to look into her daughter's death, but doesn't want to risk the serial killer's conviction for the murders they know he DID commit, he says there are three other victims, but earlier they said her daughter was the third victim and there were two victims that they were sure he had committed. The tragedy of PTSD
24 November 2016 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

Donnie Wahlberg and Marisa Ramirez get top honors for this Blue Bloods story. It's a missing persons case following a domestic dispute of an army enlistee and his wife. They are stationed on a military post and in New York City that could be Fort Hamilton or Fort Totten.

Wahlberg really feels this one given his Iraq service. The man is suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder courtesy of the war. He's gone and taken their 7 year old kid with him.

In his usual manner Wahlberg steps on toes and on the military base the military really is in charge. His scene with the CID investigator in charge is typical Danny Reagan and it does bring a phone call from Tom Selleck to do what is not normal and practice a smidgen of diplomacy.

The final confrontation scene with the missing soldier Chad Michael Collins is intensely dramatic, I mean Emmy Award dramatic.

This episode should not be missed.
