Did You Know?

Known for her role as Marion Ravenwood in the Indiana Jones movies, Karen Allen guest stars in this episode. If you know your movie trivia, Tom Selleck was lined up for the roll of Indy and actually screen tested. He turned it down due to a conflict with Magnum, P.I. If you notice as the guys are prepping for their camping trip, Frank Reagan is sporting a familiar fedora. See more »

When Henry is telling Jack about family history, he says that his father (Jack's great great grandfather) first arrived in NYC in 1910. He became a policeman, a menial job that no one else wanted since he already knew how to shoot a gun, having been a solider in the RAF in WWI. Not only did the RAF not exist in WWI (it was the Royal Flying Corps), the war didn't begin until 1914. Since the plot narrative supports that Great Great Grandpa was in WWI, the 1910 arrival date is wrong. See more »

A mother's intuition regarding her daughter's murder of 10 years before leads Frank to start asking questions. Yes, questions arise, but reopening the case would invariably lead to the guy, who had definitely murdered other women as well, walking. The ending made a lot of sense in doing all investigations in house.

The bigger part of the episode was devoted to soldiers suffering from PTSD. The ending was tragic but shows what can happen. We also see that there can be conflict in cases involving the local police department and the military.

On a lighter note, we saw that the Reagan man can be very quiet regarding their achievements while serving in the armed forces.
