I have a problem with this episode
19 July 2015 | by (Netherlands) – See all my reviews

I'm a huge fan of the Blue Bloods series (and of Tom Sellek) , but I have a problem with this episode .

We don't see what really happened , we only see the consequences : an NYPD-officer with a broken(!) nose , and a seemingly unharmed Sikh (who turns out to be the chief of Neurosurgery at NYU) .

Using a (not so accurate) composite drawing , the NYPD-officer has apparently mistaken the Sikh for a Muslim .

It's probably not the NYPD-officer's brightest day , but does that really give the Sikh the right to hit a police officer ?

And break his nose ? Really ???

The argument Police Commissionar Frank Reagan uses ("Ever met a Sikh before ? (...) They're proud people") is actually rather silly : the 9/11 terrorists most probably thought of themselves as 'proud people' too .
