Rusty the Ant, finds himself a potato in the dumpster. Cosmo the Fly Joe Croaker the Frog, snatch Rusty's potato in the middle of the night. Joe and Cosmo decide to bury the potato in the soil to keep it safe. Rusty returns to them every day and questions them about the location of the potato. But the two insist that they don't know anything about it. One day Joe Croaker is hungry and decides to dig up the potato. Although, the potato appears to have sprouted, the frog and fly start feasting on the growing potato. Joe and Cosmo become very ill after their meal. Bartle Bee suggests that it's probably food poisoning, and that they should vomit if they want to feel better. Even Rusty helps the two thieves get rid of the poison. The lesson learned is to never eat a potato with sprouts.

While buzzing about The Marsh, Bartle Bee is amazed to find a "dancing" bean among the flowers. Bartle Bee enjoys immensely his new discovery, unaware that Cosmo the Fly is looking on, angling for a chance to swipe the little bean and run. Eventually he succeeds, then spirits the bean back to the pond, where he and Joe Croaker try to cajole it into dancing for them.

When Bartle Bee and Flutterby finish their house cleaning and are appreciating their work, a foul smell on the wind comes along to ruin their mood. They follow the smell to McBroom's house, which is full of the stinky dung balls. McBroom is not at home but both Bartle Bee and Flutterby can't wait. They start to clean McBroom's place without asking his permission.

Both Bartle Bee and Joe Croaker are thrilled to see a large number of mushrooms emerge after a rain. Among them is a big, brightly-colored one, and Joe Croaker imagines it to be quite delicious. So he wolfs down the whole fungus, despite Bartle Bee's warning that eating unfamiliar fungi can be dangerous. Soon Joe Croaker begins to hallucinate, and the frenzied frog's actions present a real threat to the whole ecosystem centered around the pond.

A female mosquito spots Joe Croaker and bites him when the frog is napping under a big tree. She makes the most out of the opportunity and bites him as many times as possible but the pain and noise soon wake Joe up. The irritated Joe begins to chase the mosquito and he's determined that this pest will pay. In the mean time, the mosquito's brother is out looking for her and he comes across Joe Croaker at an in-opportune time.

A snail comes to the Marsh and is really disappointed at seeing Bartle Bee and his friends fly elegantly and freely in the air. And he blames his shell, which he thinks is a real burden and stops him from doing fun things. And though Cosmo and Joe Croaker pick on him, the rest of the bugs are determined to help him out.

The ant, Rusty, is out searching for food when he encounters a "tunnel". He says "hey" to the tunnel and the same "hey" comes echoing back to him. Thinking there is someone trapped inside, Rusty decides to do some exploring. Soon, he gets hims self lost, and it's up to the rest of the gang to get him out without getting lost themselves.

Bartle comes across a pill-bug, also known as Rollie-pollie. This Rollie-Pollie is a very timid and elusive insect. When Bartle first spots him, he is struggling to get down a rock that stands barely an inch from the ground. Bartle introduces himself to Rollie and decides to help Rollie by turning this always nervous bug brave.

It's winter in the Marsh and everyone is feeling the effects. Joe Croaker decides that living in a mason jar is his best bet. It works well enough, and he refuses to share with anyone else. But when he tries to get our, he finds himself stuck. Now he must look to the same bugs he refused for help.

Joe Croaker finds himself some chocolate. He eats one piece and hides the rest in a hollowed tree trunk. The little ant, Rusty, follows the smell to this very trunk and he takes one piece away with him. When the frog comes back for his food stash, he finds one piece is missing. He transfers the chocolate to a place he believes much safer. But Rusty's antennae can easily detect the scent in the air. He discovers the chocolate and takes another one. Joe Croaker now has good reason to believe there's a food thief around.
