Storyline

After falling off the roof at a New Year's Eve house party, Owen decides that it's time to make some wholesale changes in his life. Over the next year, he quits drinking, re-enters his estranged son's life, reignites old friendships, and falls in love with Vera, a bank teller and fellow divorcee...all in an attempt to replace members of his family who he'd lost prematurely. Owen, a vending machine proprietor, soon finds that sometimes in life, you just need a little change. Written by - Anonymous

Good in Theory, Poor in Execution
25 November 2017 | by See all my reviews

The concept was interesting and the complexity of the nuances of real life were interesting, but the acting and script seemed a little hallmark-y for the content. A reflection of the fact that it was Casey Affleck's first attempt at directing, it was almost hard to watch because the acting was so unbelievable. It did, however attempt to address personal issues and growth, but could've done a better job.
