- There are a few differences between the Hallmark Channel version ("Chance at Romance") and the version that airs on PixL ("Friend Request.") Notably at the end of "Chance at Romance," there is an extra line of dialog between Heath and Samantha, and through additional group shots and close-ups it is made clear that Donny, May and Eddie accompanied Heath on his journey. "Friend Request" is cut to make it appear as if Heath is alone, as the additional characters are never seen.
- When Sam is first taken to Jackson's Diner, in "Chance for Romance" Heath tells her not to worry, he has a tab there so she won't need to pay, and Heath apologizes for forgetting her name. She tells him Wuthering Heights is her favorite book and assumes he is named for Heathcliff; he responds he is actually named for the candy bar, which his Mom was eating when she met his Dad. This entire discussion is not included in "Friend Request."
- In "Chance at Romance," before visiting the grocery store, Sam and Heath have a discussion in which he states he hasn't picked up his camera in years because he hasn't felt anything. Sam responds she was told he was a painter as well, to which he responds yes, he paints houses and barns, showing Donny fibbed again. This scene is missing from "Friend Request."
