Storyline

In 1938, James Neugass travelled to Spain to become a volunteer ambulance driver in the Spanish Civil War. Also a writer, James wrote a memoir of his experiences, which he planned to publish on his return. However, the manuscript was lost, and James died in 1949. Over half a century after his death, a copy of the manuscript was rediscovered and his two sons learned the story of a father they never knew. In 2012, his younger son Jim followed the words of his father to Spain. Tracing Jim's journey deep into Spanish history, this film tells a story of the Spanish Civil War and the battles that remain over its memory today. Written by Anonymous
