Storyline

Following her recent acting disappointment, Penny decides she needs to take decisive action to make her career happen by devoting her time one hundred percent into the endeavor, which means quitting her waitressing job. Although he wants to support Penny outwardly in whatever she decides, Leonard does not support this move. He has to decide whether he will tell her the truth or lie about his feelings. Sheldon, who is affected by the goings-on between Leonard and Penny, is however more perturbed by a mandatory request by the college: that he take his vacation time. Meanwhile, Amy, with a little help from Howard and Raj, comes to the realization that one of her colleagues, Bert from the Geology Department, has a crush on her. Regardless of her dating status, she isn't interested in Bert, but she doesn't know how to show or tell him that she's not interested without hurting his feelings. Quotes

Penny: Look, I know you think I am being reckless, and you might be right, but I need to take this shot
Sheldon Cooper: Yeah, no kidding. Despite what it says on her resume she is no longer 22.
Leonard Hofstadter: I swear, I am on your side.
Penny: You keep saying you're on my side, but you don't act like it.
Sheldon Cooper: He does that to me too. Why do we put up with this?
Leonard Hofstadter: Listen. I could never do what you are doing, okay? I would be terrified.
Penny: Well, it's scary for me too.
Sheldon Cooper: I'm fine with it.
Leonard Hofstadter: My point is, just because I couldn't do it doesn't mean you ...

"The Occupation Recalibration" was another good ep of "The Big Bang Theory"
28 January 2014 | by (Baton Rouge, La.) – See all my reviews

This last ep of "The Big Bang Theory" continued from the previous one in which Leonard turned down Penny's proposal. She's now glad of it because it has made her decide to quit her job at The Cheesecake Factory to devote full-time to becoming an actress which Leonard isn't too crazy about but he tells her he supports her. Meanwhile, Sheldon doesn't want to take his required vacation but he has to as Leonard won't let him go to work with him. Oh, and Amy has to fend off a fellow co-worker who keeps giving her rocks so she talks to Howard and Raj for advice. One more thing, Bernadette has to trade one of her hubby's comic books but Stuart doesn't have it but he knows a comic shop that has even though the proprietor patronizes him. I'll stop there and just say this was quite a funny ep. Not a great one but still very good. So on that note, I liked The Occupation Recalibration.
