Storyline

Oliver brings Sara into the Arrow team. Watching Oliver and Diggle spar with Sara and talk old scars, Felicity starts to feel left out. The team is investigating a villain named William Tockman, a.k.a. The Clock King, who is a brilliant thief armed with technology that can open any bank vault in Starling City. After The Clock King infiltrates the computer systems in the lair, Felicity feels pressure to prove her worth. When she gets a lead on Tockman's whereabouts, she heads out without the team, putting her in peril. Meanwhile, Oliver throws Sara a welcome home party, but Laurel refuses to attend. After Lance makes his case for a family dinner, Laurel acquiesces, but when Oliver shows up with Sara, she loses her temper on both of them. Written by Salman Ali

Trivia

The Clock King suffers from MacGregor's Syndrome, a fictional disease previously mentioned in Batman & Robin (1997), another DC movie title. In Batman & Robin Alfred and Nora Fries suffered from the disease. He's getting money for his sister who is suffering from Cystic Fibrosis, although the chance of two siblings contracting 2 unrelated genetic diseases are not very high. See more »

Goofs

In the US, publicly-traded stock (as Queen Consolidated is) cannot be liquidated for cash after market hours, at least not in such quantities. There is generally a three day settlement period for shares traded on a public exchange, although if both parties are willing, this period can be shortened. In addition, for an insider or an officer to sell shares of any quantity (and Oliver is both such), specific papers must be filed with the SEC. See more »

It's all in the ending.
5 March 2014 | by (New Zealand) – See all my reviews

"Time Of Death" proved to be a slow, but very enthusiastic episode. The villain of the week, The Clock King (played brilliantly by Robert Knepper) was interesting and menacing. It was great to see Felicity have a little more to do rather than hack firewalls. The action sequences were a little stale but it didn't matter as the family drama continued to please. But the best thing about this episode is the big ending.

*Pacing: Above average *Story: Good *Action: Average *Drama: Very Good

It may have been a fairly slow and average episode, but the excellently portrayed villain and jaw dropping ending easily bumps up this episode's status. More shows need to watch Arrow and understand what cliff hangers are.
