With Vikram's death confirmed, and Danny now rich, his guilt weighs down on him more than ever. Meanwhile, Tess reveals why she owed Vikram.

To me, there are times when I watch Twisted and wonder if it really lives up to its title anymore? I mean, Danny no longer has that twisted personality we first saw when he was accused of killing Regina, and really, no one on the show does, or says, anything which really turns up an eyebrow or produces a grimace. For, in comparison to Bates Motel, which is actually twisted, this show feels so tame that it being called Twisted is laughable at this point. Still, rant aside, let's talk about the episode.

Topic 1: Guilt Weighing Down on Me (Danny, Jo, & Tess)

With Vikram's death now making headlines, the issue isn't so much the fact he is dead, but how he was found. As we saw, Danny accidentally pushed his father to his death. However, Vikram was found as a car accident victim. Leading Jo and Danny to wonder, who the hell set all that up? Now, Tess is thrown in the list of possibilities, though then the question becomes how? And the same thing is said when Karen is considered. But, with Karen there is Jack, and with Jack there comes not only strength, but motive. After all, Vikram was the main thing stopping Karen from being with him, and if Danny was imprisoned Karen would have one less reason to focus on Jack. Since, despite being a bit selfish and materialistic, Karen does deeply care for Danny to the point of lying, stealing, and even putting herself in harm's way. And while there is no real confirmation that Jack may have done something, when he says "You know I would do anything for you," you get this slight feeling that, as usual, Twisted is giving another mystery away thinking it is being clever.

But, as Danny and his family deal with the whys, since Danny directly confronts Karen about the murder so the "who" isn't really a topic anymore, Jo is having issues of her own. I mentioned during the first half of the season how Danny returning made Jo blossom and become social and outgoing but, to me, it seems like she is slowly starting to revert to her old ways. Problem is with that, with Rico now caught up in Andie's world, even if she goes back in her shell, there is no one to really spend time with in there. Well, outside of Charlie who seemingly is trying his hardest to become something regular in Jo's life, but each time they meet she seems so bothered by him, but because Danny and Rico have someone, I sometimes feel like she is settling for Charlie. Who, by the way, is only 2nd to Rico for me when it comes to him being so sweet toward the girl he likes.

Leaving us to talk about Tess. Despite me thinking something may have still been going on between Tess and Vikram, seemingly her loyalty wasn't out of love but paying back a favor. You see, Tess had a kid before Jo, and Vikram helped to find that kid a home. What is interesting though is that kid is a girl, and with this, it makes me wish that I knew the parents' ages, when exactly she had the baby, and more because this is probably the first mystery brought up which isn't as easy as the others to figure out. A part of me thinks maybe Jack's daughter is perhaps the girl Tess gave away, but the timing for that maybe off. And, strangely, outside of that I'm a bit lost. I mean, yes, Tess' one night stand could have been with Vikram and Tara threatening to reveal that to Karen maybe why Vikram choked her to death, but while Twisted certainly has a handful of genuinely interesting mysteries, they rarely get as focused as the ones fans seem to figure out in no time.

Overall

As Twisted loses its edge and the mysteries become more and more easy to figure out, it really is making this show sort of feel like a drag. You'd think when they changed writers it would have made things better, but it feels rather the same. I mean, thus far the only good thing they did was get rid of the Jo, Danny, Lacey love triangle. Outside of that, while it is good to see Jo have someone, Rico have someone, and Karen have a potential someone, none of it feels Twisted. It all feels generic and the show, I feel, lacks any real direction now that the Regina murder is over. For, really, the casts isn't that big for who moved Vikram's body to be interesting and, as noted in the intro, there is nothing to really excite you episode to episode anymore. Nothing on this show anymore is twisted. If anything, it feels like everything is either uninspired or the show is borrowing from other shows and trying to maintain relevance by doing so. And really, do we need another show which starts off with a strong premise and fizzles out into a weak drama of which the draw is mostly because the actors are hot, more so than the story is good?
