The titular "Wild Hunt" is an ancient folk myth most common in Northern, Western and Central Europe, but also found in North America (The Ghost Riders). It features a phantasmal, spectral group of huntsmen on horses (possibly with hounds) in pursuit across the skies (or nearer to the ground).

The customer in Rosalee's shop who clearly makes a wide berth around Monroe as he was leaving the store is Leroy Estes, the Mauzhertz who was accidentally given a concoction with the wrong ingredients for his inner ear infection in "The Bottle Imp."
