Eye of the Beholder with Jim Roberson (2013)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

Excellent interview with cinematographer Jim Roberson who talks about his time on the film THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN. Roberson starts off talking about how he got the job and how everything on the screen came from the eyes of director Charles B. Pierce. He then goes on to talk about working in a small town, working during the heat and he tells a wonderful story about Ben Johnson. I'm not going to ruin the story but it's just something you can visualize Johnson doing. Fans of the film are certainly going to get a kick out of this interview because of the three featurettes on the Shout Factory! disc this one here gives you the best idea of what it was like making the film. Roberson tells several great stories about the production and really makes you understand what it was like shooting it. Fans will certainly want to check this out.
