Good but the 1991 live action film adaptation is better
4 January 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

If you have seen the live action film you know that it is a cheesy ultra-violent marital-arts-prison film, that takes itself too seriously and for that reason the live action film is funny as all heck(Didn't know if I'm about to say the actual word). But this anime OVA that the live action film is based on is less violent and more serious, But that doesn't make it bad. Its still a good short OVA well animated and acted, but and I don't know why I didn't like it as much. It is still worth checking out and I would recommend this to any fans of the live action film and any fans of the manga series this and the live action film is based on. 7/10 stars, check it out fellow film fans!
