- Alka Singh, the leader of a political party, and her obsessive love for Rohan Mehra, a rising star of Bollywood.
- In the hostile territory of Chambal, the land of rebels, politicians, bullets and blood, you either live by the gun or die by the gun. Revolver Rani is set in this hostile world where there are no friends; only fragile alliances and deadly enemies that aim straight for the head. But sometimes you do not need to take lives to finish your enemies. Sometimes you just need to go for their heart. Revolver Rani is a satirical and unusual love story set against the backdrop of politics. It's about Alka Singh (Kangana Ranaut), the leader of a political party and her obsessive love for Rohan Mehra (Vir Das), a rising star of Bollywood. The elections in Gwalior have just finished and Alka's reign has come to an end. Her opposition, the Tomar party, have come into power and want to use their new position to take out Alka, but first, they want to hurt her. The Tomars kidnap Rohan from Mumbai and take him back to Gwalior with the aim to kill him. They are about to pull the trigger when Revolver Rani turns up, all guns blazing and saves his life. Revolver Rani has a very unique story at its heart that has only ever been hinted at before in Bollywood. This film will bring that story into the limelight and show the viewers what would happen if a political giant fell in love with a Bollywood star and then had to protect him from her enemies. It's a very authentic satire, littered with dead bodies, love and black comedy that builds up to an iconic climax set in the Shivpuri Bird Sanctuary (Madhya Pradesh) just before the break of dawn. Even if she is deadly, Revolver Rani needs love too.—Anonymous

The elections in Gwalior have just finished and Alka's reign has come to an end. Her opposition, the Tomar party, have come into power and want to use their new position to take out Alka. Udaybhan Tomar (Zakir Hussain) has been selected as the home minister of the state after 5 years out power. His brothers Govind Tomar (Pankaj Saraswat) & Hari Tomar (Kumud Mishra) want Uday to take revenge for the death of their elder brother Shankar at the hands of Alka. But Uday has a CBI inquiry on him & doesn't want unwanted attention. So Uday decides to hurt Alka. The Tomars kidnap Rohan from Mumbai and take him back to Gwalior with the aim to kill him.
The movie then moves into flashback of 2 years ago when Alka was in power & met Rohan at a talent contest. Rohan wins the contest & asks for Alka's number which she gives. They soon start dating & having sex each other. Rohan then uses Alka to get a break in Bollywood. The Tomar's are about to pull the trigger when Revolver Rani turns up, all guns blazing and saves his life. Rohan is thankful to Alka but is cheating on her without her knowing about it. Alka attacks Uday's public rally & kills many of his guards. Uday reacts by getting Alka arrested.
Rohan takes advantage of Alka being out of the way to get his mistress to come to town. But Alka finds out that Rohan is cheating on her. But eventually Alka forgives Rohan. Her political mentor Balli (Piyush Mishra) orders a sting probe on Uday thru a media channel, in which Uday admits to taking hundreds of Crores in bribe to clear 2000 acres of tribal land for a global conglomerate. Uday is dismissed by his party high command & by elections are announced. Alka celebrates, but then finds she is pregnant. Alka decides to marry Rohan next to the Taj Mahal.
Uday decides to use Alka's illicit relationship with Rohan to cause her political damage, but Balli steps in and announces to the media that Rohan is like a brother to Alka, which angers her off. So, Balli forcefully sedates Alka & then forces Rohan to marry a Muslim girl to prove to the media that Rohan has no relationship with Alka. The political battle escalates when Muslim clerics object to a Muslim being married off in Hindu tradition. So, Balli forces Rohan to convert to Islam.
Alka wakes up from her forced slumber & is angry. She decides to transfer the party fund in her name & relocate to Itay with Rohan. Balli feels that his political career will come to an end & tells Alka to drop the baby. Alka beats up Balli mercilessly over this suggestion.
Balli joins hands with Uday & plots to kill Alka. Meanwhile Rohan fears that his acting career will be over in Italy. So he asks Alka for 10 Crore on the pretense of helping out his parents. Alka arranges the money. Rohan plans to leave with the money at night, but that's when Uday's men attack Alka. Alka fights valiantly & is shot several times but survives. Thats when Rohan shoots her in the back & walks away.
In the end scene it is shown that the Chambal robbers rescue Alka & tend to her. Alka awakens.
