As soon as the drone surveillance team gets a visual on Aayan at the remains of the attack site, Aayan senses he is being watched, and looks up into the sky directly at the drone that is watching him. With real-life drone surveillance, the person(s) being watched would have no way of knowing that they were being watched, not to mention from any specific direction. See more
