Storyline

The week is exclusively Italian - ethnic Italian contestants who will be cooking ethnic Italian food. The five contestants for this week are: acro-dancer Erica Carinci, an Italian princess who takes her cell phone everywhere; Luigi Lou Desantis, who identifies more as Canadian than Italian and who doesn't spend much time with Italians as he doesn't generally like them; Lulu Lubuglio, a divorcée who has given up on relationships and who is a gardening fanatic; housewife Mirella Martino, a coupon queen who loves receiving a bargain; and music producer Lazzaro Cristiano Pisu, who wants to dispel the North American stereotype of the Italian male as being loud, flashy and brash. Mirella Martino is the first to host the dinner party. Her menu consists of homemade red wine (made by her father) which will be served with the meal, arancini as the appetizer, stuffed chicken breasts with gnocchi as the main course, and cannoli for dessert.
