Red in the Box
26 November 2013 | by See all my reviews

Spoiler Alert!!! Yet another epic episode. The FBI lure Red and his bodyguards back to base as Liz is supposedly in trouble. Snapshot forward and they place Dembe and Luli in custody and explain they are placing Red in protective custody. Spader as ever is exceptional, quickly realising the FBI have been duped and that the real attack on him will take place imminently with all in extreme danger Ressler is transporting him to the Box when the black ops site comes under attack. The pace of this episode is excellent, and for once the main focus is not Red and Liz,rather it is Red's history catching up with him. Anslo is an old adversary seeking revenge and we witness a bond happening between Red and Ressler as he tries to save his life, all the while trapped. Trapped yet protected by the prison Box, Anslo tries to force Cooper to give him the code, refusing Anslo first executes Luli in front of Red and the following scenes leaves the audience in shock. Dembe is up next and Red begs for his life willing to give his own. Fantastic acting; emotional, raw, harrowing, well done to all!
