Rosa
12 June 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This episode is focused on Rosa, the woman with cancer. I did not know who it was until the man called her "Rosa." Also, she mentioned she robbed a bank to get to prison. Healy tells Rosa she's going to die because the chemo is not working. Rosa even gives a speech about how scared she is of dying, despite her acting all tough. While she is in the hospital, she befriends a teenage boy and teaches him how to steal the nurse's wallet. Rosa sees him crying next to his mom, she thinks he is dying. She is sad about this, even though she had just met him, he was a nice kid who didn't deserve to die. He tells Rosa he is not dying but his condition is improving greatly. It seems like Rosa really means well. Of course, last season we did not know because we barely ever even saw her at all.

Piper has become a target by everyone because she has furlough. Everyone thinks she's a spoiled little white girl. Especially the black girl group. Piper doesn't like this so she goes to Healy to ask if the furlough can be withdrawn. He say to suck it up, ignore them, and go visit her grandmother. She calls her mother to ask who is picking her up to go the hospital. Her mother says that her grandmother died last night. Piper starts to cry, it is a sad scene. The black group used the furlough as a way to annoy her. At lunch she made a speech about it. Crazy Eyes responded by throwing pie at her.

The new rules are tough. The guards basically have to punish the inmates for doing pretty much nothing. Fischer marches in to Caputo's office and speaks her mind on the situation. Caputo fires her right then and there. I was shocked. Maybe this was because he's disappointed she doesn't like him, I don't know. Of course since one CO is gone, there has to be someone to replace them. Caputo asks Fig and she says, "It's already been taken care off." Then a car pulls up. Then Mendez steps out. Pornstache is back. I was like "Oh, sh*t. He's back. "Things become a lot more interesting.

10/10- Another great episode where I just had to watch another because I was left wondering.
