The documentary shows in a brillant way the many roles of women in samba. It's beautiful to watch the diversity and how different women are conected to this culture. The storyline guides us trough the making of the carnaval parade. The caracthers presented proves that women not only are present in all of the school of samba sectors, but also proves that women can and must ocupy leading positions. By presenting elderly women and children, the documentary shows samba history and the new history being written. It shows that samba is not just a music genre, but a lifestyle that includes entire families, and a passion that permeates many generations.
