Castle and Becket bicker about compromise regarding a shared living space while investigating the murder of a famous author and the unofficial relationship therapist of the New York jet-set. It looks like VIP clients, such as the discreetly divorce-planning Warner couple, who hired an ex-con private detective, wanted to protect their secrets. But the team finds out she actually held her own secret and a giant flawless diamond, worth an insane fortune and even an armed attack in daylight on Ryan and Esposito. Written by KGF Vissers

I wanted to like it, but..
12 November 2013 | by (Arendal, Norway) – See all my reviews

I hate that I have been so negative to this season. I really wanted this season to be just as great as the previous ones, but it hasn't had the same level of Castleness as hoped. And this episode is just another proof of this.

A famous, well known psychologist is found dead in her car and the team from Precinct 12 is on the case. But after finding a huge, highly valued diamond in the dead psychologist's hotel-room it is clear for the team that this is bigger case than expected.

The first thing I missed in this episode was the chemistry between the characters. It was all about the case, and that was it. Well, Ryan and Espo had their little chat, and Castle and Beckett was talking privately in the beginning and the end of the episode, that was it. I missed all the jokes and funny comments throughout the episode. There were some golden lines, but not as many as normal.

To end this review I want to say that I did enjoy this episode. But the real good episodes are in the earlier seasons. If this was the first episode you have seen of Castle, you have many good episodes to catch up on. 7/10
