Growing pains
15 September 2017 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Thus far, Pops and Adam have been the show's dynamic duo, and this episode is further proof. George Segal gets his (overdue) share of the spotlight as Pops carves out a niche at the furniture store; Adam stares down the barrel of adulthood in a misguided liquidation of his toy collection. It's fun and heartfelt all around.

Speaking of that toy collection, they've been teasing a tour of his bedroom since day one, and it is glorious. He's got stuff in that room I only dreamed about as a kid; case in point, no kid I ever knew had the U.S.S. Flagg. If Adam Goldberg hadn't gone on record with his childhood secrets to cultivating such a shrine, I'd chalk this up to overzealous set design.

Respect.
