Impressive sounding editing
Movietriviageek29 March 2014
As usual this episode meets the series high standard of captivating imagery. In real life a death scene is usually somber, sometimes gruesome, perhaps peaceful, but very rarely beautiful. Again we see stunning scenes of death or near death which are uniquely stylist, horrible, and sad. But for this episode I especially noticed sound editing that thematically used water sounds to connect the characters actions and dreams. The cat and cat game between Hannibal and Will Graham continues to evolve. Those who have read "Red Dragon" as a book or viewed as a movie know how the game ends. The creative team of this series has assembled another suspenseful episode of the journey to that end.

Best episode till now

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is the best of the series till now. The opening sequence shows death as an art form although a trifle disappointed with the death. This episode sent shivers down my spine literally, which not even a Saw movie has evoked and that too without showing any gruesomeness. Hats off. The series is definitely catching pace. For the first time Hannibal has been outsmarted by Will Graham. So many psychological games are being played and Will definitely is evolving with revenge being his priority. Dr Chilton and Abel Giddeon add extra spice and keep you interested. Do watch for the interesting conversation between Will and Dr Chilton. Mind Games are excellent.

Sashimi

Warning: Spoilers
As an art student I loved the Damien Hirst reference at the beginning. Also the other reference was that title Mukozuke is actually one of the dishes in Kaiseki. This dish is many slices of seasonal sashimi. That is exactly how Beverly Katz was found.

Anyway it was a brilliant episode. The sound effects in this episode were spectacular provide suspense at a huge level. We can see the part where Gideon tells Bloom about what Will said to prevent him from becoming a killer. Also the ending was too quick but surprising and the sound effects were brilliant. Another really good episode. I rate this episode 9/10

Intense Episode [8.5/10]

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Hannibal Season 2 Episode 5: Episode 4 was great and I gave it a rating of 9/10. What happened to Beverly? Jack calls Hannibal a ''great friend'', yes sure Jack. Wow Hannibal was extra brutal with Beverly, cut her into so many pieces, truly disturbing. Wait, so one of the guys who work in this prison is a killer? And he killed to free Will? Feels kinda off. So this guy is a killer, he wasnt lying. He tried to kill Hannibal but of course this attempt will be a fail. Yup its a failure, Jack saved Hannibal, im curious if the guy will survive too. Really good episode overall, my rating is... 8.5/10.

The way things evolve..

Another great episode that pretty much had me on edge the entire time, cause I felt like the episode was over really fast!

Once again this show, does its own thing, presenting things to us, that no other show have managed to do quite like this, or quite as effectively!

I dont think any other show could pull of a death scene like this! It leaves you both horrorfied, shocked and yet... you also admire it!

The mindgames continue and the dialogue is just brilliant! Fascinating and intrigueging to see who outsmarts who!

The ending was great, thrilling and gives q sense of far Will has come and how far he is willing to go!

Get An Ambulance!!!!
wandernn1-81-6832742 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
At the start, Crawford thanks Lecter for keeping his wife alive.. Then Crawford is called to a new crime scene, at an old location, where Katz's body is found, in a very , uh, disconnected state.

+1Star for the Displaying of Special Agent Beverly Katz.

Hey Graham did warn her!!!

Okay for some reason Crawford now informs Graham while he's incarcerated about Katz being found, and Graham is brought to the crime scene. No Pictures! Like the last few times. This time the bring him to the crime scene.

-1 Star For the Bad Procedure. Crawford is already under review and here he brings a murder suspect to a crime scene. Brilliant! Just seems to me like other officials would be screaming 'bloody murder' over such a thing.

So Graham teams up with an unlikely ally, Freddie Lounds, in order to get a message to the 'killer', and he gets an unexpected visitor.

And then another visitor in Dr. Bloom.

I love this. Graham dispatches his 'hawk' ,his new friend, to take care of Hannibal. We have a great setup scene, with Hannibal tied up perched on a bucket, ready for hanging.

+1 Star for this great setup scene

Who will show up in the nick of time to save Hannibal?? That is the question!!! Oh it's Crawford!!! What a surprise!!! Okay I like the fact that someone was sent to the scene and save Hannibal but I don't like that it was Crawford, and Bloom. I mean why not storm the place with a whole army of FBI guys on the tip? Silly imo. -1 Star for that

This one ends with an average, 5/10
