This movie is not as bad as everyone is making it out to be.
This movie is no where near as bad as everyone is making it out to be. It's not the best movie ever made but it certainly isn't a bad movie. I found it pleasant to watch, loads of nice little fight scenes, decent execution and camera movement, good editing and a flowing story. I liked it and I happily rated it a 6/10. As a fan of Marvel, I enjoyed the introduction of the Hulk Buster, the banter between Stark and his toys, the different variety models of Iron man and the relationship he develops/has with Hulk. Hulk is more of a jolly green giant rather than a menacing furry of rage int his movie, but that doesn't take away from anything and it's actually a refreshing touch.
What did people want from this movie exactly that makes it so terrible in their ratings? I don't know. As a loyal DC and marvel fan with a strong following within comics and animated TV series/movies - I can happily say that this was a fairly decent movie.
Sure some of the characters are bit cheesy. The bad guy isn't too convincing and the story drags a bit... but who cares... if you're sitting back at home with a nice sound system and watching this movie in HD you will enjoy the other little subtleties such as the visual experience which is first class.
I don't see why people hate this movie, it's a good movie, not the best by far, not the worst, a decent addition with nothing to really add or subtract from Iron man or the Hulk. There are loads of adaptations of Batman and no one seems to brag about the inconsistency flaws of the character in those movies... so why should it matter in this?
Overall, 6/10 a good watch, fun times with the family or otherwise.
