Hothead Episode.
bhicks1929 October 2013
I was relief to see that Vincent has regain some memories from his past about his family members. I particularly like the closing of the episode when both of them standing at the twin tower memorial site. I have not seen that site before and I found it to be breath taking at night. I was so happy to see that Vincent and Catherine were just out for a walk and talking, just like a couple getting to know one another. Nice change instead of having sex all the time without any romance. It reminds me how it use to be in my parent's time. Love the show. When one episode ends I am anxious for the following week's episode to start.

Hothead Lives up to its Promise!

Warning: Spoilers
My favorite episode of the season so far. Action, romance, tenderness, suspense, menace, fun and drama. Jay Ryan played it across the board in a well acted 50 shades of Vincent: as a menacing beast, action hero, tender man and funny adversary (to Gabe). Jay can convey emotion with an eyebrow lift. The scene in the hospital when he seemingly throws a fit when a memory flash assaults him was brilliantly played. The only criticism I have is the absence of JT played by the effervescent and talented Austin Basis. He is the show's humorous and very human heart and was sorely missed. That aside, all of them did a superb job of trying to reconnect Vincent to his human side again. The theme of pyromaniac beasts played into an ending that very sensitively tapped into a memorable 9/11 homage that was handled with pathos and great sensitivity. Kudos to all involved. Script by the BATB Writers = 10/10. Please watch and reserve judgement until you've seen a number of episodes. Watch all of S1 then tap into S2. You won't regret it! BEST. SHOW. EVER! (and I'm a TVaholic from way back.

best episode yet
ruthjc196215 December 2013
This by far was the best episode yet for me this season. I am glad that the character Catherine gave herself some space but was willing to step in and help when needed. Gabe is developing into a very likable character and there never will be enough of Tess Vargas on the screen. The only downside for this whole season so far is the lack of JT Forbes weekly. There was such a rich relationship between JT and Vincent last season that is sorely lacking, something you hear a lot on twitter as well. But understandable as Vincent is still learning about his past and how these people fit into his history. So excited to see all that this season has in store for us!
