The lack of tension was palpable.

This could not possible be the award winning psychological thriller touted in the reviews. The acting was so stilted I thought I had accidentally tripped on a Lifetime installment. I stopped the movie, quit the app, restart, click....same movie. I hunkered down; after all some movies are slow to start. 40 minutes in, I still had no connection to the characters - or the camera angles. I stopped the film to go do something else. And on again ... 30 minutes to go and finally I see some real anxiety in the characters, some real pathos, some real...something.

I gave this movie four stars based on the last 30 minutes of the film.

I don't think the movie was bad, I think the description was misleading.

Excellent film

Excellent film...great characters and amazing cinematography. Well worth the time.

Teddy Boy seems to start out as a revealing look into a couple's relationship that is tested by a young visitor but turns into much much more. There is a slow build of tension throughout the movie. Almost from the start, that uneasy feeling creeps in. You're waiting for something to happen, and this continues straight till the last act. By the time something does happen, the tension could be cut with a knife. This is a movie that left me thinking about it for days and realizing that the director planted subtle cues about what was coming throughout the movie. It certainly left me thinking about what happened with Teddy at the end.
