Love Is A Verb is an examination of a social movement of Sufi-inspired Sunni Muslims that began in Turkey in the l960s and now spans across the globe. The group is called Hizmet, the Turkish word for "service" or The Gülen Movement after its inspiration and teacher, Fethullah Gülen, a man TIME magazine named as one of the most influential leaders in the world in 2013 for "...preaching a message of tolerance." It is a great resource to understand the Hizmet Movement.
The name exactly fits the movie and the movement: Love is a Verb and "without action it is only a word." Terry did a great job.It is a great resource to understand the Hizmet Movement. Although the movement is one of the biggest civil initiative in the world, many people know a little about it and its founder, Mr. Fethullah Gulen. It is understandable that he does not like to make a name of himself due to his religious belief, but his message is universal and his followers should introduce him to world. This movie is a great opportunity for that. Terry Spencer Hesser has done many interviews in several countries. You will hear legendary stories that hard to believe. This is why the Hizmet Movement is a unique chance for the world and can make the the world a much better place to live. Thanks again Terry.
