Hickman's former New York partner, Detective Amanda Andrews, is in the middle of a dangerous rescue of kidnapped young women. But, it's a trap set by Genovese - old nemesis of Hickman and Andrews -- and he's back in New York. The team flies to the States where a rooftop confrontation between Hickman and Genovese leaves one man standing. At the ICC, Dorn wrestles with the best way to break some terrible news to Rebecca. Hickman finds himself heading to New York to investigate a sex trafficking ring which smacks of Genovese. This is the guy who shot Hickman in the hand and has frequently made life miserable for him. He is a sociopath and threat to all who come across him. Hickman meets his old partner and they set things in motion. One of the most interesting moments comes at the very beginning when a set of lasers guards a truck which contains girls, some of whom are dead, others beaten beyond recognition. This is a particularly well put together police drama. When Genovese finally shows up, we wonder how he will escape again--he's that slippery. I'm predicting right here that he will find his way back again. Someone should just silence him, but the principles have too much commitment to moral actions and procedures.
