Trouble in Paradise
10 April 2014 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

But wait, that place is far from paradise. We have two fronts - Neville and the Texas town.

What happens in Texas. Using the LOST technique of going back in time, new details are being revealed. We learn why Bass had become such a cruel man. Was it a good reason? That's up for you to decide. Nevertheless, he's always been a good soldier. A new main character this season - Charlie's grandpa. Have you ever wondered if there was anything weird about him? As expected, there is. "They (patriots) know everything," it is said in the series. But do they?

I'd like to live in that world. No technology. No one spying through technology. What a dream! But there're still spies. Human spies. But humans are unpredictable. Can't ever tell what they'll decide to do after all. Like Rachel Matheson case.

Watching the first episodes of this season (second season), I couldn't help noticing certain similarities to Falling Skies. Too many, maybe. And now we go to the patriots' camp of turning people to robots. See what I mean? In Falling Skies, they were harnessed by aliens. Still, they were transformed. And that's the whole point, right? But can you release humans from this spell? Can you reverse the transformation? In FS you could. What about now? Ex-major Neville is trying. Trying to 'save' his son. Will he succeed?
