A Nice Return to Litchfield
10 June 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is a good episode bringing us back to the Litch to see the other inmates after a surprisingly good episode focused all on Piper. This episode however, shows no trace of Piper, this is focused on Taystee. I've always loved Taystee, she has always been an energetic, funny, very likable person. This shows her back story.

Also, the ladies do a Mock Job Fair. However, the woman leading the program seems more interested in dissing everyone's hand-me-down outfits than giving the women some good advice for showing professionalism during an interview. As it comes down to the end it is between Taystee and the Latino girl who is always alongside Maritza in the kitchen. Taystee kills it, showing she can be a very professional, respectable business woman. When Taystee goes to Fig and asks what the "award" is, Fig gives her a nasty attitude and yells at her. But she does get 10$ in her comissionary account, which is just fine with Taystee.

In Taystee's flashback as a kid she is sitting by herself on a park bench sad that no one wants to adopt her. She is approached a woman named Vee, who adopts her. It flashes forward to later in life with Taystee working for Vee in her drug business. Taystee has great math skills, which help her a lot. Red is no longer the "queen" at Litchfield. She is broken down when you first see her on screen. As Mendoza now runs the kitchen, all the inmates who used to be in the kitchen hate Red for doing what she did.

Healy talks with Pennsatucky to about what happened with Piper. Healy tells her that no one will believe her side of the story, he sends her off to get her disgusting mouth fixed. Meanwhile, Larry misses Piper, but his father sure doesn't. Larry's father brings him to a gay sauna (not sure why) to talk. Larry's father says to not worry about Piper and that she is a cheater. Larry goes to get comfort from Polly and gets to see her bare breasts before she gets in the shower.

8/10- Really Strong 2nd Episode
