Trivia

A good portion of the film was shot at The Glen Tavern Inn, whose motto is "Where the Past Comes to Life," because the dead reportedly maintain a vivid presence at the hotel. The Glen Tavern is a favorite of paranormal aficionados who claim it is one of the most haunted venues in the region, and in July 2007, the Ventura Paranormal Society held its annual convention there.. Hell of a Good Time!
31 October 2014 | by See all my reviews

I sure hope "Reaper" finds an audience because it was a hoot from start to finish. People may be misled into thinking it's a stock, genre horror flick with the usual slasher kills. But the real surprise is that it's a refreshingly clever road/crime film with a murdering, supernatural beast in the background! Good times!

An awesome cast of players formulate a unique character palette, mostly consisting of corrupt criminals whose fates are intertwined. When they wind up at a hotel where it becomes apparent that sinister forces are at play, they have to stick together as a survival of the fittest game goes into full blast.

"Reaper" doesn't follow the cliché narrative threadline of most films of its genre as the element of fear isn't coming only from the titular villain but also from the bad asses trying to defeat him! The dynamic between these complicated personalities is what really elevates the film to a higher level. They don't trust each other, we don't trust them, and figuring out who will make it through the mayhem is the most thrilling part of the show.

This is a fun, engaging, well-acted, and non-stop thrill ride. See for yourself...
