Kidnapped has me in knots ~ Sweet n Sexy with a side of Sad and Shocking ~ WOW!!!
18 October 2013 | by See all my reviews

If you see 2 reviews from me here it's because I was so excited I had to do it twice ;)

I've been dying to watch this episode ever since I saw the promo pic of ***SPOILER incoming in the next paragraph if you STILL don't know who gets kidnapped***

Cat with a blindfold on... tied to a chair... Vincent kneeling in front of her... kinky thought I... here we go...(sorry mind in gutter) especially when further titillated by an online teaser that VinCat would indulge in an old habit *ahem* and an odd rating for explicit content??

Well we didn't get all the VinCat "action" I was led to believe was coming but I had a good time and loved every sweet sexy second of the boathouse scene and all the funny thrown in too. Props to Sherri and Jen who wrote this episode. They nailed all the VinCat feels in this one. Also appreciate the continuing little nods to Season 1 ~ note to Cat ~ hello Dr Keller etc.♥

Then we come to the so called "downer" at the end of the episode that had many fans railing. Was it shocking? Yes. Heartbreaking ? Yes. WELL PLAYED? Hell yes. Throughout this episode you will hear Cat saying Vincent would never hurt her. Well guess what... Pivotal moment to make the blinkers drop off Cat ~ this is NOT your sweet sensitive Season 1 lover anymore. New Beast 2.O is your ultimate BAD BOY and right now he can't tell Cat apart from a tasty cupcake (albeit one with an unexplainable distractingly familiar heartbeat.) What's Cat's next move going to be??

At the time of writing this I have seen a sneak peek of next week's episode and I never had a doubt that the feisty Cat I love would be back ~ watch out Vincent ~ she has claws too! MEOW! There will be fireworks! ♥ Cat will now have to gather her wits and try a different approach to save Vincent and their relationship other than pelting him with questions he can't or won't answer. I love VinCat's character development in Season 2 so far. Painful at times yes but so riveting to watch! Fans were "warned" that VinCat's love would be severely tested and Jay Ryan and Kristin Kreuk really get to flex their acting muscles more in this tumultuous season. Good stuff. I'm all in. ♥

One final thought on the rest of the cast. Seriously how good is Season 2 that I am actually enjoying all the non VinCat scenes as well instead of reaching out to my fastforward button. The interaction between Gabe JT and Tess make for great comic relief. Kidnapped is a solid follow-up to the fantastic Season 2 opener. Cannot wait to watch the next episode every time. Is it Monday yet? ♥
