Storyline

Casey is too bitter to talk to anyone, so Kyle's attempt on the beach costs him a black eye, yet ingrate Tamara still blames him and claims they should leave town. Dex decides to move to Broken Hill with Sid, as April accepts to come along. As Pippa's surrogate mother, Leah must be tested, as well as VJ, for congenital mitochondrial disease. Leah's 'protective' lies naturally add to VJ's fear, yet she persists when Jett reports having overheard secretive palavers. Written by KGF Vissers

"There's no problem so big you can't bury your head in the sand"

If you're a long-term fan of the show, you're probably going to hate this episode.Leah's comment about Pippa being VJ's sister last episode was bad, this is worse. The plot thread about Sally and Leah thinking Pippa might have inherited her condition from someone she isn't actually related to feels like no-one involved in the show bothered to check the characters' history and is rewriting things to suit themselves.Either that or, in Home and Away land, genes aren't something you inherit from your parents but something you catch from people around you.

And April and Dexter are in it, meaning we have to sit through interminable scenes of them insisting they can't live without each other, even though they seem to manage okay every time they break up.At least there's a possibility they might leave, although it would be nice if one of them could die horribly.

Kyle and Tamara are happy and relaxed in their opening scene so it's a shame Casey has to turn up to cast a dark cloud over them.Kyle is stupid to try and force him to accept them but Tamara does well by telling Casey to move on, as he stupidly thinks that his not waiting for her is a threat. The cliffhanger is disappointing, although Kyle's probably just been put on the spot.
