Grotesque and Mean Spirited - An Insult to the Viewership

1/10
Author: timtavcar from Lakewood, OH

'Deal With It" can only be charitably described as a horrendous concept and production of another mindless "reality show, executed with a total disregard for common decency. Every washed up and/or wannabe "celeb" that participates in this travesty, beginning with Messrs. Mandel and Von, should be ashamed of themselves. The curses that ought to be leveled on the heads of the woefully misnamed "creators" of this mean, mindless, miserable excuse for "entertainment" should be many and mighty. And those who agree to participate in this embarrassment seem to be in desperate need of a seminar or six in self-respect. That it was renewed to pollute TBS's offerings for a second season is a damming indictment on the mindset of the American TV viewing public. Coupled with the recent pollution of "Bam's Badass" debacle, TBS should be an acronym for Terribly Bad "Stuff" (to put it politely, which is certainly more than these shows deserve).

Insult to veterans - waste of television

1/10
Author: Joe B from United States

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

This comment is not marked as a spoiler because I want people to easily be able to read it, and because no real details of the "show" are given away. Be warned, the very general plot of half of an episode is described below.

I began watching the show at S2E9, and stopped watching the show about 15 minutes later. I sat down to watch a man who, from a stereotypical perspective, had never seen a punch to the face, let alone military combat, make fun of and eventually cause great emotional discomfort in a veteran. I very much hope that this show is staged, but even then it is a horrible excuse for week night television that should absolutely face reprimand for either 1) making fun of the men who risk their lives for this country, or 2) putting the idea that it is okay to make fun of our veterans on TV.

It is one thing if you do not agree with the military as a whole, or if your show wishes to poke fun at the U.S. military; it is your right to voice your opinion. However, it is completely unacceptable to single out one man, who has risked his life for our country.

I continued to watch the show, hoping they would go apologize to the man, and at least show the audience that it is not okay to do this. Instead I was met with the arrogance of the two men in the camera room. They first saluted the camera, and then said "Thanks to our veterans for making this possible."

This last bit made me absolutely livid; as if the service man that you just made fun of risked his life so that you could give some money hungry man $750. The fact that the man was even willing to dishonor not only his country, but mock the veteran for such a small amount of money (or any money at all), is terrible in its own right.

Personally, I hope this show sinks so far into debt that it cannot ever come back, and perhaps the people would watch a show (like mentioned in the other reviews), where instead of making fun of others, ESPECIALLY VETERANS, the people make a fool of themselves. In the other show they make a fool of themselves, they get no money, and everyone on the show, even the bystanders, get a good laugh at the end.

Very staged and not very funny

This show is a total rip off of Impractical Jokers, which is 100x better and not staged like this crap. It is a fail attempt to draw viewers by using celebrities and adding money.

Impractical Jokers on the other hand, there is no fake "money" involved. The reactions are genuine. They have 2 seasons with 45 episodes and the 3rd season just started, go watch it, you won't regret it.
