The Xander character (played by Nicholas Magrey), was originally a non-speaking role, but when Sophia Khan was unable to make one of the shoot days, it was expanded to cover her character's dialogue.
The house used as Dominic and Danny's house is the same house in which You've Been Invited (2014) was filmed.
A number of character positions in shots were modeled after famous biblical paintings.
Due to time constraints, the initial shot of Valerie Hines in the bathtub could only be filmed once, since her clothes could not be dried in between shots.
There is a relatively off-color joke which "Xander" is telling in the end of the first scene of the movie, but he is cut off before he can finish telling it. The rest of the joke is told in a scene in Searching for the Perfect Meatball by the same actor.
