- The fire in Southfork rages, tearing through the house. Christopher and Bobby come to in the smoldering house. They see someone pinned under rubble and free them -- it's Bo. He's alive. Christopher drags him to safety while Bobby goes to look for Ann and Sue Ellen.
In the Omni Hotel, John Ross performs CPR on Pamela and gets her to throw up, but she's still non-responsive. EMS still hasn't shown up and he's freaking out.
In the Southfork flames, Bobby finds Sue Ellen.
The paramedics arrive and assess her. She took an entire bottle of Benzos. John Ross watches helplessly as they wheel her away and then rushes out, leaving Emma standing there in her lingerie.
Meanwhile, in another bed, Elena and Nicolas are interrupted by Carmen calling Elena about the fire. She rushes off to the hospital.
At the hospital, Sue Ellen is being treated for smoke inhalation when Christopher and Bobby see Pamela brought in, still unconscious.
Bobby immediately confronts John Ross when he arrives, telling him his cheating could kill Pamela. When Emma walks in, Bobby lashes out at her for sending the "sick video," but she has no idea what he's talking about.
Then Christopher cruelly breaks the news about the fire to John Ross.
At home, Judith finds Harris mooning over a picture of Ann and taunts him about him kissing her.
When Elena gets to the hospital, Christopher tells her about Bo and the arson. She's hugging him when Heather comes in with her son. She tells Christopher that even though Bo said he was coming for the Ewings she needs to believe he's innocent until he tells her otherwise. Christopher doesn't press the issue.
Emma joins John Ross in the waiting room to tell him she didn't know about the video. "Seriously? I cannot deal with you right now," he says.
Ann comes in and tells Bobby she was at the market. When he tells her about Pamela overdosing, she confronts her daughter, telling Emma she has to move out of Southfork. Emma protests that's not fair. Ann thought she could reach the loving Emma, but now she thinks that Emma might not have existed.
The doctor tells John Ross that Pamela is stabilized, but because it was a suicide attempt, she can't see anyone.
Elena calls Nicolas, who is very interested in how the fire started. She was worried it was Drew, but Nicolas tells her that he thinks Drew is already in Mexico and he will protect Drew from his own rage, even against his will.
Then he goes to check on Drew, who is being held for him in a warehouse.
At the hospital, Christopher finishes talking to a Lt. Bennett about the fire. The officer says that while it's likely Bo set the fire, most arsonists don't stay in the fire they set.
Heather learns from a doctor that Bo might have spinal cord damage.
In her hospital bed, Sue Ellen is annoyed and wants to go home, but the doctor won't let her, given her high blood alcohol content and concussion. Bobby drops by and tells her about Pamela.
She says the last thing she remembers is watching TV (while drinking) and then she fell asleep. Bobby found her in John Ross' room.
She tells Bobby she went looking for food, but she was searching for something to drink. She's going through serious withdrawal.
When John Ross comes by to check on her, she kicks him out.
Emma catches up to John Ross in the hall and insists again that she didn't send the video. She asks what happens to them now. "The first rule of cheating is when the wife finds out, it's over," he says.
She pleads that they can still be business partners, but he walks away.
The cartel boss gives Nicolas a letter they found on Drew spilling everything about his father and J.R. taking his land, as well as Nicolas' childhood connection to Elena, which would spoil their plans to take over Ewing Global and use the money to fund a takeover of the Mexican government. He tells Nicolas that if he can't get Drew in check, he'll kill Drew.
At the hospital, Judith arrives to pick up Emma, but also take the opportunity to tell Bobby about Ann's "hot make-out session" with Harris. Bobby brushes her off, but the look on Ann's face makes him reconsider.
After Judith leaves with Emma, Ann tries to explain to Bobby that she went to see Harris about him taking in Emma and he kissed her. Bobby angrily points out that she lied about where she was, another in a series of lies.
The next day, Bobby surveys the rubble of Southfork. John Ross comes by for a change of clothes. He's crushed about Pamela and doesn't defend himself. He knew what he was doing with Emma was wrong, but he did it anyway, telling himself it was business and didn't mean anything. "That's what you do, John Ross, you justify. And then you ignore all the destruction you leave in your wake," Bobby says.
"I know. Why can I do that?" John Ross asks.
Bobby tells him if he wants to be a better man, "be one."
Bobby leaves and John Ross finds a ring in the rubble.
In the waiting room, Christopher wakes up to Heather's son crawling into his lap. He thanks Christopher for saving his dad's life.
The doctor tells Heather that Bo's surgery was a success, but it's too soon to tell if he'll walk again.
Lt. Bennett is ready to interview Bo, but Christopher asks him to wait.
At the Ryland house, Judith checks on her granddaughter, who is hurting from being tossed aside by John Ross. Judith tells her to nurture the hurt until it is "powerful enough to take vengeance on those who have wronged you."
At the hospital, John Ross watches Pamela through her window. He still hasn't been allowed to talk to her. Elena joins him. He asks her if she thinks he's even capable of love. She tells him every day is a chance to do the right thing.
When he says Ryland did him a favor by sending the video, Elena is alarmed. John Ross is just assuming he did it.
Elena calls Nicolas and leaves him an angry voicemail, telling him she knows he sent the video and demanding he call her back. e listens to it but ignores it.
John Ross finally goes in to talk to Pamela. He tells her he never loved Emma and although he has no right to ask for a second chance, he's asking. He gives her the plastic ring he got her in Vegas, melted in the fire. She drops it in the trash.
She tells him she didn't try to kill herself. She did what she did so every time he "screwed that piece of trash" he would picture her with her eyes rolled back in her head.
She throws him out.
Sue Ellen wanders around the hospital gift shop and a greeting card jogs her memory of the night of the fire, finding an invitation to Pamela and John Ross's wedding in his room. She remembers lighting it on fire, putting it down and passing out drinking.
She surveys the items on the shelf and checks a bottle of aftershave ingredients, looking for alcohol. She steals it.
She's about to drink it, but thinks better of it and throws it away. She walks into the waiting room and tells everyone she started the fire, and how. "I'm so sorry I lied to all of you. I'm an alcoholic and I will be until I die," she says. Ann hugs her.
Christopher interrupts Lt. Bennett interviewing Bo, who says the house was on fire when he got there. "Thanks for trying to save my aunt," Christopher says. "Thanks for saving me -- I think," Bo says.
Heather brings her son in to see Bo and Christopher steps out of the family moment.
Back at Southfork, Bobby cleans up. Ann joins him, apologizing again and saying she loves him. He feels the same, but is having serious trust issues. He tells her he wants to oversee the rebuilding from Southfork. "Are you kicking me out?" she asks. He says he needs time to figure things out.
At the warehouse where Nicolas is holding Drew, they get word of Sue Ellen's confession.
"Smile, Drew. God has given you a gift. Now no one will ever know you set the fire," Nicolas says.
Flash back to Drew breaking in and plugging in an air freshener then spraying the drapes with alcohol, right before Sue Ellen lit the wedding invitation. It burned safely in an ashtray until the air freshner ignited.
Nicolas tries to reason with Drew, who says he's not done coming after the Ewings and they're going to know he is. Nicolas tells him about losing hundreds of millions of the Mendez-Ochoa cartel's money and needing the Ewing deal to set it right, but Drew throws it back in his face, asking if Elena knows he's using her to pay back drug dealers.
As the cartel boss joins them, Nicolas tells him that they'll kill him if he doesn't back down.
"Let's not lie to each other, we both know I was dead the minute you brought me here," Drew says, defiant.
Nicolas takes Drew's saint's medalion then watches coldly as one of the cartel men shoots Drew through the head.
