Overall, an okay Wrestlemania - but there were a few GREAT matches.
3 June 2014 | by See all my reviews

Not the best - but hey, not the worst. It wasn't as good as Wrestlemania XXIX, but it was better than XXVIII. Tremendous match between the legendary "Deadman", Undertaker and "The Beast Incarnate", Brock Lesnar. It had an intense and unbelievable build up - from fans predications to the announcement - from the announcement until it started and so on. Undertaker's career hasn't been short lived whatsoever in the absolute slightest. He's the man! Taker's career has spanned over an incredible 20 plus years. But hey, that's just with the WWE - in total, he's been wrestling an immense 30 years. Lesnar, on the other hand, is different. He only came back in 2012 and then started showing up and leaving etc.

But then came their massively huge, hyped-up-for match, Wrestlemania XXX. So, was it good? hell yeah! to quote "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. But was it great? Uh.....let's just say it was in between good and great - perhaps very good. The action was good, the charisma was decent, the acting towards the end was good and so on. But THE STREAK WAS BROKEN.... BAH GAWD NO! NO! Well yes, it was gonna happen sooner of later, and there's nothing we can do - it had.....HAD to happen. And it literally SHOCKED the majority of most fans - some more than others. In all honesty, i was shocked, and not so shocked both at the same time. I knew if anyone at all was going to beat the streak, it was definitely gonna be Lesnar. But if by chance it survived and stayed safe for another year, then I would've took as it came. But hey, it got broken - and in less than a half hour (one of the things I honestly felt would've made the match a lot better would've been the length....another 15-20 minutes added on would've been better!)

So, he had a great send off, Taker. He was applaud quite strongly, with frequent claps coming and going every 5-10 seconds, massive roars and cheers and the odd, typical fart-minded "BOO!" But I was both happy and sad - I didn't want it to end, ever....but I was happy knowing his career had been great, and that he was going to happily retire with another 30-40 years, presumably, ahead of him. Overall, an excellent match, that could've been slightly longer.

Every other match was either pretty poor or just in general, "all right". The main event was Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton vs Batista, WWE World heavyweight championship. In all honesty, I wasn't bothered knowing Bryan won, but most fans went wild. They're all PG fans, as far as I know, and if they're not all PG fans, they're just really die-hard D-Bry fans. I like him, but he never has been a MAIN FAVOURITE of mines. I would've liked it if Orton had retained, or even if Batista had won - but most fans wouldn't have liked that. Daniel Bryan got the win and became the WWEWHC. A good match, in all honesty.

In all honesty, I give Wrestlemania XXX a 7.7/10.
