When one thinks of Hollywood, it's usually a vision of a glamorous town that the movie studios and TV networks have been sharing for well over a century. Hollywood has become obsessed with telling the world how exciting it is, with stars, premieres and legendary films. Thousands of people make the journey yearly to Hollywood, each trying to break into the dream factory However, there is another side to Hollywood , not one singing Hooray for Hollywood, but a town defined by monumental battles, fights over film rights, star salaries and the lust for plain old power, leaving countless careers ruined along the way. This story of Hollywood is the theme of the new series, The Hollywood Mogul Wars. Telling the real history of Hollywood is no easy task. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recently found this out the hard way when it opened their film museum and immediately caused a scandal. Why? Well they left out of the museum's exhibits any mention of the towns founding fathers, otherwise known as the Hollywood Moguls. One reason the early moguls may not have been mentioned is their complicated story that doesn't work well with the glamorous side to motion pictures they helped create.
