In-name-only sequel/ ripoff
5 July 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Rarely seen, this was allegedly released as a video file sometime in the late 1990s, then released onto video. The majority of this footage is recycled footage from Anton LaVey's Death Scenes 2 (retitled as Death Scenes, without a number '2', for DVD) None of the footage present here should come as a surprise to the few people who have watched that thing. Stock footage of Hitler during WWII is present and accounted for; Marilyn Monroe stock footage too; the Black Dahlia puts in a brief cameo appearance; as does James Dean; and Anton LaVey himself, but with a different narrator dubbed in.

Grotesque still-photographs of the victims of crime, some apparent gunshot wounds, casualties of war, among others. Particularly grisly sight of soldier caught under a tank. We see the exact same firing squad footage twice in this programme!

But without a theme running through this random assemblage of footage, it becomes yet another terrible, in-name-only ripoff of Faces Of Death, rather than another sequel; not worthy of even being mentioned in the same breath.

I've also seen a video titled Faces of Death 8 mentioned on a couple of foreign language sites, but I have not seen it, and cannot confirm if it even really exists. It may be just another crappy rip off, retitled Faces Of Death, like this was.
