The shoot was delayed for two weeks by Hurricane Sandy.
The film's concept was conceived when director Joshua Bruce and a friend were discussing movie plot outlines. The friend suggested that Bruce make a film "about the 7 Princes of Hell". Only one of these fictional deities was used in the final storyline.
The band Bad Acid, which contributes several riffs to the soundtrack, consists of Kenny Geiger and D.M. Clarnon, who also appear in the film in major roles.
The film's budget was the accumulation after 10 months of the director's pocket change.
A scene with Mike Zapcic was filmed in the basement of Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank, New Jersey.
