Storyline

Naomi's stand-up,incorporating her cancer, becomes a big success but when Emily visits from New York Effy agrees to keep the illness secret from her, accompanying her friend to chemotherapy after Emily has gone.Effy continues her affair with Jake, who confesses to problems at work. She asks Dominic for more insider information, which, feeling used,he initially refuses but eventually hints at the likely success of Morbury Mining which makes the company a huge return. As a result of this new-found wealth Effy obtains a luxury flat for herself and Naomi but is called before a tribunal, now headed by ex-boss Victoria,to account for the firm's upturn in future, due to her insider information, which she denies. To allay fears that he will be incriminated she protects Dominic,as well as having sex with him, and,on Victoria's advice, clears herself by sacrificing Jake as the culprit before going to visit the dying Naomi. Now is Good: Skins' Version
9 July 2013 | by (saudi arabia) – See all my reviews

This episode is the saddest skins episode of all seasons. It starts with Naomi presenting a comedy show and everybody seems to enjoy it. Oh how much we love the Naomi humor! She cracks a joke about cancer, everybody feels that it would be inappropriate to laugh, yet Namos makes it clear that this reference serves in making the joke more hilarious. How amazing you are Naomi! This Naomi is better than the badass one in season 3 and the b*tch one in season 4. The new Naomi is more funny and honest. She is selfless and adorable. I love her sweet friendship with Dom, the poor boy who Effy is too ignorant to appreciate. Naomi Campbell did not grow up, Lily Loveless did. It's hard to believe that this is the same actress who had a terrible acting in season 4. She had improved very well. It is obvious that she worked really hard on this role, and I think this is by far her best acting. Each scene is more poignant and heartbreaking. Her smile in her last scene. I think I'm going to cry! While Naomi is trying to make the best of whatever is left of her life. Effy is still being selfish and inconsiderate. I don't want to talk much about Effy, because it is obvious that she f***ed up everything and then feels guilty and somehow everything happened by itself. At the end of the episode, we know how much Effy has grown up. She is still Tony's mysterious playful little sister. The episode ends with that Effy smile that means 'you don't know me at all, you never will'. This gives us flashbacks of all the troubles she had done during all seasons, and, of course, season 2 memorable last scene.
