Outlander Stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe on Their "Tough" Onscreen Moment Ahead

21 November 2014 3:50 PM, PST | BuzzSugar | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Outlander costars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan just wrapped shooting the second half of the Starz series a few weeks ago, and we caught up with the duo last night as they celebrated with the Golden Globes and InStyle at an La bash. Yes, a lot has changed since we visited the Outlander set back in February, but Caitriona told us she's grateful her own life hasn't been altered too drastically with the success of the show. "Any changes involved have been amazing. We shot right up until about a month ago, so I was still in Scotland, where you left me, up until the end of September. Probably in the same clothes! But it's just been really nice since we've come back. Obviously a show like this opens more doors and creates more opportunities, which is amazing, but other than that, I still hang out with my friends and do my thing. »

The Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. tapped Greer Grammer as Miss Golden Globes at a soiree where reps from the film and TV world, including Chadwick Boseman, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Morten Tyldum and Matthew Morrison, mingled in a wall-to-wall schmooze-fest.

Theo Kingma, president of the HFPA, told Variety that the event was “the beginning of Golden Globe season,” and there were plenty of awards contenders there.

Ronald D. Moore Talks Showrunners, Marrying Creativity and Business, When to Walk Away from a Project, Outlander, Star Trek and More

Showrunners: The Art of Running a TV Show is a documentary that explores the role of the person or persons responsible for overseeing all areas of writing and production on a television series and ensuring that each episode is delivered on time and on budget for both the network that airs the show and the studio that produces it.  In this perceived Golden Age of television, shows are now enthralling audiences the world over in the way that Hollywood feature films once did, and there is an increasing curiosity about the individuals that make that possible.  The film features J.J. Abrams, Hart Hanson, Damon Lindelof, Ronald D. Moore, Joss Whedon, Terence Winter and J.H. Wyman, among others. During this exclusive phone interview with Collider, Ronald D. Ausiello: Never give up hope, Allison! Elena’s emotions are all over the place in Season 6 and I have it on good authority that her love life is going to be far from dormant. In fact, I hear she’ll be locking lips with a handsome fella in Episode 3 — and his name does not rhyme with Shmamon.

5 Questions to Ponder After the Outlander Midseason Finale

29 September 2014 10:50 AM, PDT | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

Before you file Outlander away for the next six months while the Starz series is on hiatus, let’s revisit a few seemingly small plot points from the first eight episodes that you may have overlooked during all the excitement over Claire’s time-travel affair with a frequently shirtless Scottish hunk. Questions that you might want to be asking include: What dangers might a woman with knowledge from the 20th century being facing in 1743? What minor characters will have a bigger role to play in the story to come? And how might the 1743 and 1945 story lines intersect when the show picks back up in April 2015, and beyond? While the following list of questions contains spoilers up through the midseason finale, we only hint at possible events to come, based on scenes from the show so far, knowledge of the Diana Gabaldon novels, and interviews with cast and crew.Is that »

‘Outlander’ Mid-Season Finale Review: A Knight in Kilted Armor

[This is a review of the Outlander mid-season finale. There will be Spoilers.]

-

A honeymoon is interrupted this week by darker tidings in the exciting mid-season finale of Outlander, entitled ‘Both Sides Now.’ Ronald D. Moore writes an engaging albeit abrupt hour of television likely to have you yearning for more.

Moore and Author Diana Gabaldon have slowly developed a series for Starz that can now be mentioned in the same breath as their older brother and sister networks like HBO and Showtime. Starz has always been the runt of the premium family, with shows like Spartacus being touted as nothing more than a sword and sandal drama with nudity that ...

Outlander’s Ronald D. Moore, Diana Gabaldon, and Others Break Down the Midseason Finale

Please note: This article contains heavy spoilers of the midseason finale of Outlander.Last year, Outlander showrunner Ronald D. Moore and author Diana Gabaldon shared a cab to a fan event at New York Comic Con and, during the ride, Moore filled in Gabaldon on why his plan for the Starz show's midseason finale needed to go off-book. "[I said,] 'We cut to Frank in the 20th century and see what he's been doing, and we cross-cut the two stories: We just go cold to Frank in Inverness, hunting for Claire desperately, and then we see she's with Jamie right after the wedding,'" recalled Moore. "Diana actually loved it, when I was telling her about it." "I thought it made perfect sense," Gabaldon told us in a separate interview. "We need to see Frank. I couldn't do that in the book, as the entire novel is told from Claire's point of view, »
