Trivia

The music that plays out the regeneration scene is a Series 7 music track composed by Murray Gold, "Infinite Potential", which is a solemn version of "The Long Song" heard in Doctor Who: The Rings of Akhaten (2013). It is followed by a sampling of the Series 6 track "My Silence" as he removes his bow-tie. See more »

Goofs

This episode makes a point that the Doctor is out of regenerations, counting the War Doctor and the Tenth Doctor's regeneration into himself towards the end of Series 4. However, in "The Impossible Astronaut", it was shown that the Doctor was killed for real since he was killed during his regeneration. Of course, it was revealed that that wasn't really the Doctor in "The Wedding of River Song", but it still suggested that he had another regeneration left. See more »

Disappointing
20 January 2014 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

I was really looking forward to this episode and Matt smith is one of my favorite doctors but this was really disappointing the plot sounded good and simple but in my opinion it was all over the place I was looking forward to the end actually. this episode is one of the worst doctor who episodes ever and such a horrible finale for a epic doctor. Steven Moffat is good but maybe bring back Russell. Steven you're good but you should focus on sherlock series 4 but then russell should focus on his own shows. Neil Cross should be the lead writer but Steven is good at most of his episodes like the 50th anniversary that was excellent but he really lost the ball with this one.3/10
