approaching the theoretically "perfect" episode

Don't know which amazes me more -- that the production team totally
nailed the perfect combination of writing, action, direction, scoring
... to produce one of the best episodes ever -- an episode you actually
don't want to end -- or that, two years after airing, this humble
scribe is the only one to notice...? From the opening scene to the big
"reveal" at the end ... perfect.
The larger and smaller arc come together like KISMET. If you would have
told me that a mock (moot) case about owning a cat could be so
entertaining, I would have laughed. But this writing team is a miracle
Just the right mix of light humor and gravitas (the cat and the murder
trial) are hit like a perfect note in an opera.
