One One Six (#6.2)

Warning: Spoilers
I think one of my main problems is that I still have trouble understanding the actions of Gemma. I don't get why she betrayed Clay nor do I believe that she doesn't love him. Some slimy dude walking into her life would not be enough to take away everything that she had with Clay. I felt bad about the meeting Clay had with her, I wish he would not be too nice. I rather see him hurt her and Jax. But since he already talked to Jax I am worried it might not happen.

The story about the shooter boy being a son of the old lady of one of Nero's guys was interesting but also senseless. Why kill them. I guess they are trying to show how Jax gets badder and badder but it doesn't make too much sense. I still liked this episode though because of the actors and great actions, but it loses points on the story.

Too much like a soap opera

One of the lower episodes of the series. Loads of drama but no bite, and the story seems to drag. Still watchable for the sake of it's great cast, that's about it.

Outstanding Escapism

Warning: Spoilers
This is a superb episode where the season themes are revealed. After the school shooting, it was discovered that the boy who did the killing was Nero's cousin's stepson. More disturbing is the fact that the Sons and Nero supplied to the gun to the cousin. They are responsible. The police are already discovering this very fact and there is a lot of work to be done to protect the club. Jackson, the ever diligent president, gets right to it. Unfortunately he misses the crisis unfolding at home. Tara is becoming more concerned about the gang way life and wants out for her and her boys. Jackson is oblivious. This is a very powerful episode and there are some killer acting performances. Samire Armstrong as the boy shooter's mother is a standout as are Jimmy Smits and of course Charlie Hunman. The script writing is also very clever and there are some catchy one liners "The only thing more dangerous than a rat is a junkie rat" (something I did not know). This episode sets up two story lines for the entire season and is individually one of the best. Don't drink it with a coffee because it will go cold. You literally cannot look away.

From Very Promising to Soap Opera Hell.
mannyforty-560-23276624 September 2013
This show has gotten tiresome and very predictable, the story dialog is negative & without substance or any real texture. Any human with a remotely functioning brain would have difficulties maintaining interest or a straight face through this now soap operaish dribble.. The plot similarities and story developments gives the viewer the feeling the real culprits in this fast decline are the writers and producers of this once promising dramatic series. I've noticed even the actors look tired of the same boring lines. Unfortunately this program has now fallen into the Soap pit of creative writing. I can only hope the end comes soon and by the look on the faces of the regulars on the show, they may very well feel the same.
