Under the radar gem

Fascinating documentary showing a long-running boys soccer club in their last few games, before moving on to their future. Sports as a metaphor for life, capturing one of those moments in time before everything is set to change. Well plotted and constructed feature, where you get caught up in the story, and the only complaint being "is this all?" It would have been interesting to hear more backstory about the club, players, coach at the beginning, for the uninitiated. For a limited budget production, this is very well done, and is recommended. If you're made it here, give it a spin. There's a lot of knowledge within.

Must watch - inspiring and emotional - a winners story
dan-0147413 January 2023
The story takes the viewer into the world of youth soccer as DMS11 faces a last attempt to win the US national state championship. The team travels to England to play EPL youth pro teams - West Ham United and Fulham as well as a semi-pro Mens team before returning to the US to face that ultimate challenge. A gripping, passionate movie that will keep you engage and highlight the struggles - individually and as a team - and can the coach hold the team together as egos take on team unity. This is a great movie far beyond soccer - anyone can watch it as you fall for the characters and realize it is not about soccer but more about life. Strongly recommend and would watch it again. Do they overcome all odds and win the championship? You will have to find out. Enjoy!

A Force of Farce

Good Lawd! That's the best youth team in America? I've seen ankle biter teams with more fluidity and skill then this rabble group.

If you thought this would be a great watch think again. It's a highlight reel of bad plays, bad teamwork, and how not to win a futbol match.

It's bad all around including the 70s porn music used during the games.

Run from this one with all your might.

I now have to add filler material to bring this review to 600 words as I could not find 600 words to describe this horror of a documentary. I will now try and find something to clear my head of the travesty I just watched.
